Looking at Flights to Jakarta. 1-Stop. Choices from DFW>> About 24hrs whether heading Eastbound via Qatar, on Qatar Airlines, or Westbound via Tokyo on JAL. Or, just go around the World via each??? Any experience with this Route???

Can't go wrong with Emirates DFW - Dubai, not sure of connections from there though. Second choice would be JAL. |

Thank Guys....Travel is a pain now with Covid BS. In EU now. Talk about RULES!?!?! And each Country AND State within Country has their own rules. Canada a big PAIN also. |

I commuted for 18 months to SE Asia out of the west coast. Usually with Korean or Asiana but sometimes China Eastern if the price was right. Any foreign carrier, even China Eastern, is light-years ahead of US carriers for service and alcohol. I'd take the Pacific route instead of via the ME. Look at PAL or Malaysian for good cnx down to Indo as well. Avoid Garuda. Pro-tip: Look at a foreign based FF program for easier status and better perks when in the US. |

Just got done doing it.
Hopefully you are going Business or First. JAL wasn't bad, their Business Class is Ok, not as good as Qatar or ANA. Make sure you have the Japanese Health certificate filled out when you get the COVID testing done before the trip. Yes, you need it even for just transitioning through on your way to somewhere else. My flight had a 1.5 hour layover in Japan, and it was smooth sailing. Good luck! |
