For the whiners who are constantly complaining about your pay, I've got a great idea.

Start your own company and pay youself and your employees a boat load of money. Let us all know how that works out for you.

If you don't have the guts or ability to do that, then stop the ignorant comments, do your job and appreciate those that provide you a job and a paycheck.

You know, back when this country took off as a super power, there were these things called unions.  Believe it or not, they built up an incredibly strong middle class that turbo charged the GDP of the nation!  Would you even believe that those unions PRODUCED TONS of products that WE CONSUME!  It's incredible I know, but next time you post, please include some bootstraps so I can keep pulling myself up!  Inflation is a bi***!

Actually, no! Unions and Taxes are the reason for high cost products and jobs moving over seas. Do your research.

Here is a thought experiment; instead of everyone starting out on equal footing in this great free for all called capitalism, imagine the bottom of the 9th.  Imagine every new need that needs to be fulfilled is rapidly done so by massive corporations that not only do so with brutal efficiency, but also with corruption and bribes to stomp out the small opportunist.

Look I get it, you're either an old GenX or a Boomer, and you're gonna pull that ladder up behind you.  It's literally what you all will be known for!

In the mean time, I'm an elder millenial who has served through an endless war, 3 "once in a lifetime" financial crisises, a pandemic that you morons are trying to indefinitely extend, and now I'm listening to you tell my why I should be happy making a fraction of what you made in your lifetime!  (Chart below)  Say this sh** to my face and I might just skin your ass.

Purchasing Power has been eroded. Mostly it's from policies that you support. Doubling the national debt didn't help. Deficit budgeting and spending doesn't help. Monetizing the debt doesn't help. The Fed intervention doesn't help. All the frictions applied to free enterprise doesn't help. Regulations, inefficient and duplicated government work force doesn't help. High taxes don't help. Insane border policies don't help. Almost nothing you came up with financially, to support social programs didn't help. Almost nothing you did helped. Stop helping.

Nice chart. Pretty level the last 30 years. You might consider you probably make a few more dollar than the average worker in 1900, raising your buying power. Look at the standard of living 120 years ago vs today.

Sounds like you're a multi-loser.  Maybe reevaluate your life choices.  A union isn't going to fix your problems son, they'll only provide you with someone else to blame.

Anonymous your chart reflects the death of true capitalism and the slow side into global socialism i.e. communism.  The common factors in both are greed and power.  IMO I think a benevolent Dictator would work best but that's not to be found in the human genome.
