Airbus and Leonardo continually introduce new aircraft and sell boat loads of them. All we've gotten from Bell, MD and Sikorsky in the last 10 years are the 206 retread, the failure S76D and nothing at all from MD. The 525 was introduced almost 10 years ago and is still not even certified. I don't get it. Please don't embarrass yourself by telling me "government regulation" because Europe. The 429 is the only decent aircraft produced this century in the US and they even managed to screw that up with the gross weight debacle. I don't consider tin foil Robinsons as helicopters. |

Because our culture was to invent, Europe's cuture is to refine. Couple that with our newest fad of not putting priority in US jobs or manufacturing, but being purchasers of everything and producers of nothing. |

Yeah baby... took a proven performer and made it better. True refinement. Granted, an ARCHAIC platform that does nothing to help us launching into the future of aviation, but a solid refinement nonetheless. |

People in the US are tired that's all. They are worn out, the whole country is worn out, and we are just waiting for the ax to fall. It's time to let some other country run the world, they will find, as we have that it's not so easy and not so fun. |
