Flip-flops? Flying while impaired by ilness. Really? Highly unprofessional. Callous disregard for safety. Risk management? Clearly Absent. Aeronautical Decision-making? Inadequate to non-existent. Is this what aviation universities want aviation students to learn????? Certain universities need to take a serious look at the FAA Risk Mangement Handbook. It can be downloaded at no cost from FAA.gov. |

You can never be safe. All that risk management mumbo-jumbo will alter your odds very slightly. It needs to be measured against the cost. You sound like a Safety Karen who only wants to virtue signal how smart you are. Just use common sense. |

Couldn't agree more, most of the mumbo jumbo that comes out of the "required" SMS systems is nothing more than a "cover your you know what" for when the lawyers come knocking and common sense is still used in the field to get the job done safely.
PS I', drinking my stubby for Phil C not the original "Karen" |

A professional pilot knows what is safe and what isn't safe. Safety comes from good judgement and experience comes from using that good judgement. The FAA cannot tell you what is safe. You can use all the acronyms and check all the blanks which is a choice and if makes a person feel safer that's O.K. but when Murphy bites you in the AZZ it will make you guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. |

just getting those kids ready for the airlines. They already know there is no hope for teaching personal appearance and self pride to bottom feeder chopper pilots. |
