Looking into the helicopter is not a ship. During the Korean War in the 1950s, helicopters were first called coppers. Motorcycles where not called choppers till 1960s. |

Or at least shouldn't. Seek help. This ship think is only a window into your psyche. |

don't say nothing about no helicopter. Take a clue from airline pilots, bro. They gave it up decades ago if they ever said it at all. Probably didn't. Why would you? Can you imagine an airline pilot calling an airplane a ship? Lol no |

Right. It only applies to airplanes, not rotorcraft. |

What really made me flinch was when flight nurses, trying to look cool, called it a "bird." |

"I read back in the 50's they called ships ships and helicopters helicopters until some dumbass called a helicopter a ship but nobody started calling a ship a helicopter which I find fascinating "
Nobody calls a ship a helicopter? And you find that "fascinating," do ya, Mr. Spock? Hmm, could it be because a ship/boat is not a helicopter? Lookee here: A boat cannot be an aircraft, but an aircraft can be a ship. I know that's a difficult concept for your little pea-brain to grasp, but we understand your, ahem, limitations. And we forgive you for them. We make fun of you for them, but we forgive you.
(I would usually assume that this "It's not a ship, dammit!" guy is just a troll, but I actually do know some neurotic, immature helicopter pilots who get wound around the axle about petty BS like this. So he may be real. And that's a truly sad commentary about pilots in our industry.) |

a ship. And that's what needs to be extinguished like a tire fire. Dumb dorks that think it's sounds cool, r-22 captains and flight nurses are most of the remnants and need to be snuffed out so the world can be a better place. |
