Does the operator of an H125 have access to the camera video inside the cabin? I heard only Eurocopter can download it. |

Our company like many has an IPad mounted to where we can finger clip a bunch of useful stuff. Moving maps, airport arrival stuff, company GOM, positions of other company machines, TFRS, but that nagging photo eye glaring at me always has me wondering. It for sure doesn’t record aircraft stuff, another system trackers every take off TQ And every pressure value so an exceedance is not the spy cam reason. |

They are Vision 1000 cameras from Appareo, there is a removal SD card and another one hardened inside that is meant to survive a crash. On Appareo's website there are some free software tools you can use to view it but its data only with the picture. If you want the nicer software where you get the 3D map and plot its costs a lot of money. You can look over their site for info on it, for microphone it has an ambient mic that is meant to capture the sounds of the engine/rotor and isnt going to pickup much talking. There are options to tie it into the ICS system though. |

that's what I thought also, however we had a minor incident and the SD card was analyzed. Surprise. surprise...every bit of the audio (ics/radio) was on the card. |

Correct, my post above does mention there is an option to tie it into the ICS, ours didnt but unless you know for sure be mindful what you say. Last I checked its only a 2 hour loop and it just records over itself so it only if you have a whoops that it will come out. |

If you want to have some fun smeare a thin layer of grease on the lens when you are flying and wipe it clean when you go home.Do it every now and again and see what happens.YMMV. |
