Appears the current ownership has hit the relaization that they need more cash to make the Crane into a viable aircraft for the future. Re-engining and inventory sustainment are having major impacts on the ability to keep it all going, and they need some big cash inputs. With the concept to build new Cranes, they are going to require some substantial investment, but the reality is that the market size and demand remains small in comparison to the huge amounts of cash up front.

The release of Chinooks and Blackhawks by the military to the civilian market has got to be putting a lot of pressure on the Crane. Not to mention the Crane's extreme fuel consumption. If they don't re-engine the aircraft then it's days are certainly numbered.

most likely will not.  Other aircraft will be utilized, for better or worse.

Quanta will continue to consolidate the market.  They will also continue to wonder why people are hesitant to work with them (QAS).  Solution?  Force customers to use your aviation services as a construction package deal.

QAS has become the AMC of utility work. The new regime isn't happy until they destroy everything so many before work so hard to build and put their brand on it. So sad....

at least Quanta is not an amateur at utility helicopter operations. Pretty sure they would not continue bankrupting the company with a bumbling attempt at turning the crane into a drone! First thing should be psychological evaluations and drug testing of the upper management. The ones that could pass the psych test have already left!
