All these programs always talking up their capability of being able to fly patients at a time. Anyoen here ever actually do that? |

Yes I have, but it was all coordinated ahead of time. They were doing construction on a hospital and needed to tranfer all their in house patients to another facility. They picked a day and it was all hands on deck with 2 helicopters and like 20 ambulances. |

Our aircraft are so heavy, the only way we can fly more than one patient is if he has multiple personalities |

I actually flew 3 one time while evacuating a hospital from a hurricane. One was post delivery and sat up front with me. |

Yes, flown dual patients on multiple occasions. Scenes, depended on injuries to both, and if second litter was on board.
Has no happened in a few years though. Carrying more and more equipment these days. Aircraft is to fat, and many more aircraft in the state now. |

Yep, I did. Now I will admit 3 were children. Responded to a call way out in the desert socal, circa 1992. No first responders for another 40 minutes or so. Mom and 3 kids, what are you gonna do? Loaded 'em up and headed back to town. BK117 B1. |

Picked up two in an HEMS Agusta 109 at auto acccident in Gila Bend, AZ. Call was for one patieint, but two needed transport when I got there. Over gross by a lilttle so I used the highway as a runway. Cops stopped traffic half a mile both directions. Worked out great -- glad to have had the wheels. |

With no weight limits for our hospital employee medical staff passengers, there's no way we could ever do two patients in our aircraft. Heck, we're pulling the guts out of the thing just trying to get the three of us in the air most of the time..... |
