So with some guys making 35 dollars an hour making pizza, should we as helicopter pilots ask for more money? What is your professionalism worth? Long Line 150FT- fires, mining, etc IFR- Offshore VFR-Offshore Ag Flying- Both Day and Night HAA- VFR or IFR, mountain, etc Plus doing all this in the heat, cold, planning yourself, fueling yourself, doing lots of things without help. Your question is as old as the industry. " You don't want to do it for that ? move along I've got ten guys in line that will "! An airplane is quicker, carries more and is cheaper. There is no requirement for a helicopter or an airplane that is an absolute necessity for accomplishment or completion. Anything can be done without them. It would just take more money , manpower and time. A helicopter is slow, complicated, expensive and requires more skill in pilotage and maintenance. So it will always be the backword child of the skies. Less money, less time and more efficency will always win the race. The favored child is always bestowed the greatest blessings. |

A lot more. Yes right now do to the government paying people almost 17 dollars an hour, people have to pay almost double to get people to work. That is the truth, and is happening right now. It's just has not caught up to our side yet. But 50 dollar pizza is coming. |
