Any information would be greatly appreciate. I'm as green as grass.

What would be the best training/experience for future firefighting helicopter pilots?

I have $ to pay for school out of pocket, what are some of the things you wish you knew before going to flight school?

Anyone have any information on Sunshine flyers out of auburn California? I’m thinking of going there because it’s close to home. Or should I go to a specific school to get better mountain flight training?

Anyone have experience with the puma pro flight trainer controls for xplane 11? And if so how realistic is it compared to real helicopter flying?

I've been fighting wild land fires for 12 years. want to start flying around fires instead of hiking around them.

Get through flight school, instruct, take any entry level job to get turbine time with a leaning towards Alaska if you can swing it. After that apply for every utility job/operator you can think of or go drive a fuel truck for someone for a while.

It always sucks at the start, but once you're in utility you can come back here and totally dunk on the stupid HAA pilots. (like me)

Any reading material you would suggest? I have 6 books

1principles of helicopter flight

2the helicopter flying handbook

3 helicopter maneuvers

4 the FAR/AIM manual

those are faa approved.
 And finally

5 fatal traps for helicopter pilots

6 collective and cyclic by Shawn coyle

Very good reads, but they're going to mean a lot more to you once you get out there and start flying for a living.
