Looking for what others do for storage of the flight manuals and survival kit on their 135s.  Currently our flight manuals are in the pilot door and the survival kit is a backpack behind the copilot seat.  Its pretty jammed up with our lifevests and other med gear plus the seat cushion for the 3rd rider seat.  Anyone put flight manuals in a container of some kind so they dont get beat up?

They went in a plastic thing behind the pilot's seat. That and some other mauuals were in there by themselves.

It was shaped like this but it was wider and shorter and made of hard plastic. It was attached to the floor. Worked good. This was at PHI.

Not an EC135, but operating under part 135, all of our manuals are stored electronically.

Thats awesome that you got all the manuals stored electronically.  We have the GOM/Op specs/MEL on the ipad but still have the paper flight manuals.  I know Airbus offers PDF's of their flight manuals with updates for an additional fee but then of course you need to add all the aftermarket supplements on to it too.

Ok fine, awesome might be too strong of a word but so many operators just wouldnt bother going through the paperwork and cost required to make that happen.  An HAA EC135 runs out of storage space pretty quick and being able to ditch the two flight manuals definitely helps, especially when we have 5 lifevests hanging behind the seats.  Makes things easier from a flight manual updating position too, especially with a larger fleet.

Everyone fills up their aircraft differently, I'm not in control of what Med gear they want other than making sure it's weight is accounted for, they have it stuffed. We also have the fold down third rider seat down a lot for all the specialty team flights we do.  Only have the three drawer center cabinet too, I know I've seen other 135's that it goes up to the ceiling, that certainly helps with places to stuff things vs behind the seats. I'll take picture, I'm just looking to see how others set their aircraft up and get ideas. You might have a much better setup than we do hence why I apparently look like an idiot to you and I'll gladly accept that if you let me know how much better your setup is than ours. Any chance you can share pictures how's yours is setup?

Thank you for your input.......assuming you are actually being serious, we only wear them when doing over water legs, if we are 50 miles in land we are not wearing them, but obviously carry them everywhere since you can always get another call that takes us over water.
