Ive gone through two divorces and sworn off marriage. Thanks 12-2, thanks utility dreams. Moved to HAA and had a steady broad ever since. Plus I don't have to hover 150 ft into the hv all day. Easy math and logic. or take the utility pay and set your life up for one like mine. |

Same here 23 years in HAA and over $1 million in my 401(k). And never had an issue with a flight nurse or medic. |

Things are changing. Schedules are more common esp in medium or bigger aircraft. I'm on 12/12 fire, 14/14 utility and make $40k more than my best year of EMS. I don't miss the boredom of ems at all |

Why would anyone get married a second time? I gave up flying completely to please an ungrateful wife. Turns out she left me broke and smothered in debt anyway. Been with the same woman 12 years. Told her from the beginning. I’ll never get married and I’ll fly until I don’t want to. Relationships seem better when they know you can and might walk at any time and there is no legal handle on you. |

You are right. I checked before cohabitating with her. My state does not have common law marriage benefit. All my cars are register in a trust, Separate bank accounts, she has no idea what my take home pay is and I don’t know hers. Some may say this relationship is in a bad place but she has her household responsibility and I have mine. 11 years it’s been pretty good. |

You must be a terri longline pilot... 12/12 schedule make way more than 99% of EMS pilots and get to actually be a pilot. |
