Emergency Stand Down for 205/212 due to issue with TT Strap pin failure that occurred in Canada resulting in blade separation on a 212.

Much appreciated info!  Kinda surprised FAA hasn't released the Emergency AD yet? Being there has been 1 fatal RIP.

When it's published, the AD will likely make official the Bell ASB on the subject, requiring the replacement of main rotor TT strap pins with "FNFS" in the part number.  This means that an operator might need *four* pins per aircraft.  I wonder how quickly Bell can get non-"FNFS" pins to customers.

The ASB doesn't, and the AD probably won't address the UH-1's out there.  We wonder if any of them have the same "FNFS" TT strap pins installed and what operators of those aircraft will have to do?

Lots of grounded Huey's out there right now.

Glad your law firm is NOT representing anyone of importance! Maybe you should read before commenting. The Prefix "FNSF" is the S/N NOT P/N! SMH

Simple mistake there, sonny.  Do you get this worked up over everything? Wow. How childish (then again, you're a helicopter pilot, right?). But you're right, the PN of the pins would be the same and the SN's would vary.  EIther way, they're looking for pins with "FNFS" stamped, scratched or etched on them.  Could be as many as four per helicopter.  My questions stand.

All Strap Pins part number 204-012-104-005 with serial number prefix FNFS.

Is it covered in ASB UH1H-21-21 ?
