Does the cyclic actually shake that much ? Looks worse than the old H-23. |

Great Hook Design. Similar to the bag runner pins. |

It may need a track and balance. Too busy to shut it down I guess. Mechanic says within limits :) |

Tracking is accomplished on right and left rotor systems visually by pilot in flight. There is no hydraulic boost on the controls. That amount of movement in the cyclic is completely normal, particularly when picking a heavy load. |

Yep - no hydraulic boost on the controls.... from the KMAX K-1200 flight manual:
Cyclic Boost System The hydraulic boost system consists of a 1500 PSI hydraulic pump located and driven on an accessory pad of the main transmission, a hydraulic supply tank, supply and return filters, a pressure transducer and a pressure switch, relief valves, and external connections for ground servicing. Hydraulic power to the control actuators is provided through a manifold to the actuators and is regulated to 350 PSI. The three actuators are located on the lateral cyclic control rod and the two longitudinal cyclic control rods located in the cargo compartment on the bulkhead closest to the pilot.

Congrats on googling the RFM! How many of the cyclic hydraulic control modules were installed on customer aircraft? ZERO. Did you also catch the section where it is IFR certified? Go ahead and take a guess on that one as well. |

thanks for the info. I also had a lot of time playing pickup sticks in smoother machines and still have arthiritis in my wrists. I would hate to be that poor pilot when he is 75 but by then, the way things are going they will probably just give him a pill (lead) and call it good. |

There is definitely not any hydraulic boost on the flight controls of any Kmax I have flown or seen. Regardless of what the manual promised at one time. |
