I am looking to get any some information about the Maritime helicopter operator in Alaska. In particular the Homer operation. What type of work schedule, is the pay competitive/ liveable, work life and quality? Time off. Equipment.  How do they treat their employees? Is it the kind of company that you could have some longevity at? Basically the knowledge you don't get on the website. I have seen this job posted last year for quite a while. Wondering if it would be a good company to work for. Thanks for any information.

Not really.  I have friend in Colorado and upper mid-west that when I check thier temps it comonly is colder in the winter, and hotter in the summer. Since it is located on the ocean the it is fairly temperate compared to the interior.

Homer is a jewel...love living here..

We have 21 aircraft:

1 306L1 upgraded

3 206L3's

6 407's

2 412HP's, low time

1 AW119 MKII

2 BO-105's

1 DHC-6-400

Have aircraft from Deadhorst all the way out to Akutan on the Aleusian Chain and spread out inbetween

Homer Airport

The Kenai Penensula is an interesting place to live.  But not everyone would be suited to that kind of lifestyle.  I bet you could call them direct and get the answers to the questions you have.  It is kind of a big deal moving to the AK.  Been there twice, including living in Kenai, but that was years ago.  I would say it was an unusual place, the beauty and remoteness of the landscape is hard to describe:  It has to be experienced to be appreciated.  Good luck.
