"Retirement job." ??? Isn't that an oxymoron? You know, like "military intelligence" or "working vacation?" |

If someone's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to accept an offer from an HAA company, you need to report that s---t to the cops. That's illegal. |

But, if you're at a good base, work for a good program, a good company and your local management is not a sociopathic meglomaniac, it's a good job. Not a lot of flying at most bases, but otherwise I was very happy.
In that list, the base is the most important. Most of the people you will work with will be medical, if their local management isn't adequate to control the job site relationships, it gets interesting really quick and that endures until staff is moved around. |

I make $100,000 a year sitting an on my butttt mostly four days a week of no flying out of seven and still getting paid. If you look at how much time you spend behind the stick to what you get paid it's actually not bad especially when you're not flying. Some people in their careers don't care about getting that flight time anymore if I fly, I fly!!! if I don't I'm still making money. Especially OT. KINDA EASY |

how much did you make at first. An airline pilot will easily earn double or triple what a helicopter pilot makes. Wow, are you stupid or what. |

That's why you don't go regionals Or do a stupid RTP program. Just go fly jets in the military then go to a wide body making the cheddar. I'll make it even easier, do not join the ARMY to fly !!! |

i did it for 10 years. Watched the medics run if 20+ pilots, several mechanics mostly for no good reasons. The ones selling ems as a "retirement gig" are right. It will force you into unemployment at some point. Bait and switch hiring practices are the norm. It is in my opinion something you should bypass. |
