they have a buncha Openings that stay open and the company is running Just fine to suit mgt shows you they are really phony jobs. Slots in places to gain marlet share or low volume. When anybody tells u there's a pilot shortage they are blowing smoke. |

Not true. The lead pilot at my base, before I got there, was the only base pilot. He stayed on duty for 14 hours every day, then the base was out of service from 2100 - 0700. He did that for less than 3 months, otherwise he would have to have 13 days off in a row. By then they had filled in the rest of the base pilot roster. |

AMC couldn't get a relief/pool pilot to help the lead? if that was the case, shame on the AM. I worked a base like that as a relief pilot. Just me and the lead. Worked days only, shut the base down at night. It took about 6 weeks to get permanent pilots into the base. Fast forward 2 years, AMC lost the program to Black and Yellow. Problem solved. |
