Considering the Metro Punta Gorda job +2/-2

Never mind all the bashing stuff.... I'll try to sift through that. My questions are simple.
1. Bottom line, is it just as good or bad as most jobs in HAA?
2. Do they have a "strict" weigh in every hitch program for their 210# limit? and is that flight ready with helmet and kneeboard, or just cursory scale check? |

I work for a similar scenario now, but still an employee of the certificate holder, and under their rules of employment |

This might not be helpful.
I met some of the folks with that program several years ago, (pilots and medical,) and they were good people. Their attitudes led me to believe that it would be a good place to work. The program lead (when I was involved) was a great guy.
As far as weight, I don't think any of the ones I met would break 210 lbs in full gear, even with a bunch of crap in their pockets. I don't know the actual requirement, though. |

They are no better than any other vendor in my opinion. If the hospital / customer doesn't like you, you are done. You may be right for the sake of safety or compliance, but being labeled "hard to work with", "not a team player", or "we don't feel safe" is or has been used for getting rid of people that don't bend rules for the sake of some nurse or medic getting their way with you operating and being responsible for the aircraft. Don't be suprised when this post gets deleted as this forum covers for Metro constantly. That's why you don't hear much of the bad stories.
- Just my opinions. |

Federal regulation and enforcement is severely lacking in the "customer pressure, influence, and op con" areas |
