Anyone seen a Mototrbo mobile radio installed in an EMS aircraft? Specifically an EC135?  At this time neither Technisonic or Wulfberg offer radios compatible with the Mototrbo system.

The newer Technisonic radio's are actually just a head end piece for Motorola APX modules. The APX can be flash programmed to handle DMR standard 2-slot TDMA operations. I.e. TRBO. So all you really need is something like the TDFM9100 with a module in the frequency range you need and flashed to handle TDMA operations.

Dallasavionics makes an adapter cable for MOTOTRBO portbales to plug into a newer model 9100 or 9300 TDFM. The Radio simply shows up like another band in the headunit and you can control it from the headunit.

Pretty cool. I'd give them a call.
