Anyone seen a Mototrbo mobile radio installed in an EMS aircraft? Specifically an EC135? At this time neither Technisonic or Wulfberg offer radios compatible with the Mototrbo system. |

The newer Technisonic radio's are actually just a head end piece for Motorola APX modules. The APX can be flash programmed to handle DMR standard 2-slot TDMA operations. I.e. TRBO. So all you really need is something like the TDFM9100 with a module in the frequency range you need and flashed to handle TDMA operations. |

Dallasavionics makes an adapter cable for MOTOTRBO portbales to plug into a newer model 9100 or 9300 TDFM. The Radio simply shows up like another band in the headunit and you can control it from the headunit.
Pretty cool. I'd give them a call.
