...in finding fault or error in this analysis:

An illegal alien picks cabbage--600 per hour, 10 hours per day, for $15.00 an hour under the table, and no benefits whatsoever.

Total cost $150.00, total cabbages 6000, cost per cabbage 2 1/2 cents. Our Government loses FICA and income tax, and our citizenry loses one job.

An American citizen picks the cabbage--of course, the wages and benefits have to be adjusted so as to attract an American worker (that is the Free Enterprise System...what, you don't like it--?). The American picks 150 cabbages per hour, 8 hours per day, for $25.00 per hour, plus net cost of $5.00 per hour for various benefits. 

Total cost $240.00, total cabbages 1200, cost per cabbage 20 cents. That's 17 1/2 cents more per cabbage. Our Government gains FICA to fund Social Security and income tax to pay down the National Debt, which Free Enterprisers think is a big problem, left unpaid. 

Now the question is: Would you agree that 17 1/2 cents more for a head of cabbage is worth a) putting Americans to work, b) denying illegal aliens work and therefore incentive to come here and stay here, burdening our System, c) funding our Social Security (and therefore reducing burden of caring for Senior Citizens) and our Government--? Most Free Enterprisers don't think so; they would rather have cheap cabbage than a Good Strong America--which is exactly the opposite of what they say. 

Funny thing about Free Enterprisers...they say one thing and do another.

Robots will pick cabbage they will run on solar power and pick cabbages 24/7 at a rate of 6000 an hour and government will pay you to eat cabbage at a rate of $15 per cabbage, due to the fact that it will reduce healthcare costs and create 20 million new jobs at the sewage plants.

If you don't eat cabbage you will have to pay a min of $15 a day fine , to avoid the mandate.

The real problem is the greedy owners who Pick the cabbage. Like all other businesses, they hire illegals because it puts more $$$ in the owners acct. They don't give a rats @$$ about the debt/Social Security or anything related to society, just them selves!! I know & am aquaintance W/Fence Co. owenr. He hated DJT because he wanted to STOP Illegal Immigration from coming & havine Co. Owners do that!!! When I was a teen or in my early 20s I would have happily taken 25$ an hour to work in a field over washing dishes, where i made 3.25 an hour.

you forgot to factor the cost of soil tillage, machinery, fuel, land rental , property taxes, crop insurance, herbicides, pesticides, irrigation, crop storage, transportation,  labor for the above, probably a few things im missing. my point being the cost of picking the cabbages is only a small part of the actual total cost. I know this because i used to be in the cabbage growing buisness (labor). Ill tell you what, you round up a bunch of americans willing to work in a cabbage field, and then a cabbage grower that can afford to pay 25 an hour, and well have another discussion about the economics of the cabbage industry. 

seems like all those costs are included no matter who picks the lettuce. pay attention: the guy is talking about LABOR COSTS as a FRACTION OF THE END COST OF THE CABBAGE (or, if you don't get the point, about whatever the item is for sale...). you pay the illegals under the table to save a few cents, you put americans out of the job market, flush taxes that could be collected, and send currency out of the country, all to SAVE A FEW CENTS AND MOST OF THAT ENDS UP IN YOUR FILTHY RICH POCKET, RICH GUY. ...most people think that paying americans a living american wage and bennies instead of using illegals for a fraction of the dough, under the table (and why the F don't the rich folks who do this ever end up in the slam, hmmmmm??) would like, double or triple the cost of goods. but it ain't so, because LABOR is only a FRACTION of the cost of goods and if you paid right, that FRACTION increases, but it doesn't double or triple goods cost. wake the F up, Americans...

"cabbage" was kinda a symbol for some kind of agricultural production or even some kind of industrial operation that involved human labor, and whether it was done by illegals on the cheap and under the table, or americans at good wages and benefits. A neighbor use to bring Mexicans in every year to work the farm because he couldn't get locals. He had a row of cabins with a common kitchen and bathroom for the workers, and treated them pretty well. So much so that the same ones came back every year and brought other family members to fill vacancies. Government decided each cabin needed electric and running water, he complied. 4 years later government decided each cabin should have air conditioning, something my friend didn't have in his own house. He shut the buisness down and sent everyone home. Now he lets the land but misses his friends.

the moral of the story is that he took gubmint money as a subsidy, right? which is why the gubmint had a say in the working conditions, right? and if he had been a good free enterpriser like he probably shot his mouth off all the time about being, and hadn't-a took the gubmint money, he coulda worked the wetbacks without a/c and running water and toilets, right? right. consistency: it's so hard.

You can tell you are too stupid to understand the real dilemma. Forget the job and "it's a job no American wants," argument. The real issue is that illegals come to the US for such jobs then overwhelm the healthcare system as one example. Democrats very typically have open boarders. California is just starting to recover from 8 years of illegals loading the health care system.
