Author:CBA change that just happened?

Since the CBA includes all Letters of Agreements (LOAs) and Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), and since the ASAP agreement is a MOU that was in effect when you voted in the contract last year, did you get to VOTE on the modification to the CBA that you ratified when this EB decided to cancel the MOU for ASAP?

You voted for an ASAP through your CBA.   Did your Union let you vote to withdraw from it?   Or did EB just do it for you instead?

You might remember the promises made to let you be the active part in your union....   Did they keep that promise, or renege on it here?   Did your union let you VOTE on a motion to withdraw from ASAP/FOQA/LOSA?

That was a fundamental element that was going to #Making109GreatAgain.

That we actually have a board that does what they say they will do. Sent out at least four letters advising the membership of what was going to happen and several post oN the forum...wait, you’re still banned haha.

On the contrary.   They said they let the member's be involved with their union.   They didn't here because they didn't let them VOTE on an important matter such as this.   Instead, a "leader" (who isn't even a pilot at this company), is pushing the issue.

Sending out a letter is far different then LETTING THE MEMBERS VOTE on their contract amendment.

Still banned??   how do I know you didn't let them vote?   Oh, your confused!

The bylaws say an EB member can miss 3 EB meetings before he forefits his position as an EB member.

And, there is only a requirement to have an EB meeting 1 every 6 months.

So, the EB member can, "legally", sit on his butt for 18 months, collecting a MONTHLY STIPEND of $2,000 a month, before he forefeits his stipend.

A year and a half of just hanging on to a position representing a group he is NO LONGER PART OF!

Legal?   Ethical?

Here is the bylaw language before the crooked trustee imposed the new bylaws:

SECTION 11. The Executive Board shall determine compensation for
all officials of the Union subject to the approval of the

And, here it is after the Trustee imposed the new bylaws that were NEVER voted on by the members:

SECTION 11. The Executive Board shall determine compensation for all
officials of the Union.

Notice the difference in the two?   The Trustee said he did this to make things better, but he didn't say who he was making them better for!  Certainly wasn't making it better for the MEMBERS.   He unilaterally took away the right of the Members to control their EB.  But, that was expected by an interloper who didn't work for the company but only fed off the Local's free money soucre!

before even starting...Wait. You did that because you are the knight in shining armor saving the union from its own demise. Maybe, just maybe, you could have been more than a google lawyer and smack talker on an anonymous forum and ACTUALLY did some productive work and benefit for the members.

You lost the right to complain and trash talk everyone while educating us on your version of the world when you cowardly resigned before serving even one day in office. I understand you dont have the heart or backbone or courage to do the job and its easier to hide behind the computer then to face reality and get in the trenches. If it were easy, everyone would do it. Or at least they wouldnt quit before even starting.

YOU are the definition of coward and the source of the PROBLEM!

The election you mention was about a candidate who was an appointed member of the EB, who resigned from the company but chose to stay on as a paid EB member and treasurer, whom the members, including the current president spoke out against for being able to remain on the EB when not an employee of the company.   The only way for the members to get rid of that individual was for someone to run against him to so he didn't default into another 3 year term, never to leave.   The members had a choice to vote him out, knowing the individual who opposed him would "give the members their union back".   He kept his campaign promise, he didn't quit or coward-out.   He did what he promised he'd do!

The members GOT RID OF the very same type of individuals now occupying the union's head shed!

And, he bowed out completely until, the current President arbitrarily banned someone from the forum for asking legitimate questions about his staying on as President.   Banned is a form of punishment.   Punishment was dished out WITHOUT ANY HEARING, PROCEDURE, EVIDENCE, OPPORTUNITY TO DEFEND, etc.   IOW, unethical actions by the indiviudals doing the banning!   And for an unannounced, indefinate period.   That is against the LAW (29 USC 411, SEC 101.a.(5)).

Standing up for the rights of members is the first thing that is important in unions.  When a union fails that, it fails altogether!

A dues paying member never loses his right to speak out.   He supports this EB right up to the point they become hypocrites!   The job is easy....   let the members participate in their union!   They voted for SMS/ASAP, so they should have a vote to cancel it!
