If you are interested and can attend, awesome.  Hopefully you can get some quality information that can help you make an informed decision werther to stay RW or give the FW side a chance.  At the home of Army Aviation.  It should be an awesome event.

for the poster who asked if this was going to be MIL only invite... no.  CIV RW aviators are welcome too.  I also believe that mechanics are welcome to attend as well.

I started at Mother Rucker.

So ...  do you have a link to the event details?  Time?  Address?  Etc?

Is this a seminar, or will there be recruiters?

Why not?  The biggest argument I hear from RW types, is “I’ll be traveling and away from home”!  True. But take note the only way to make real money in RW is to travel And do OT.  Then your still away from home.   FW gives pilots a real wage and benefits pluse real vacaction time to enjoy your family

One provider, among to worst payers in the industry this year will bump pay 9.5% but no increase in PTO or any other benefits to speak of.  Starting pay for new guy $58K.  Only reason this bump came about was several bases lost pilots to FW and they will continue to lose pilots.  Why waste your youth?  Go make some money and spare yourself from things like the med crews deciding if you keep your job over an administrative mistake or they didn’t like a landing you made.

Study it, the move will make sense.

work to live you'll be seriously looking at all types of flying jobs that may be open to you.  Your kids come first, then the lady, then you, although the former have to support you sufficiently to make all ends meet.  Is what it is.

should consider the airlines. It will certainly pay off in the long run. If you're over 45, there are many more variables to consider.

not so, you’d have 10 years & if you needed too you could fly EMS to at least 80!

My bucket has holes in the bottom.

Any more I'm just looking for a place to bide my time until the icy hand of death leads me away.
