Do yourselves and your profession a favor. With all the time you have on your hands search from about 1985 to present and read the accident reports in EMS for helicopter. Maybe you’ll learn something about IIMC and CFIT. You will grasp the cultural issues, the repetitive errors, the pitfalls. Arm yourself with knowledge instead of posting on Facebook and Instagram about being a rescue pilot.

No need to go back over 20 years for this info;

According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.

Why do you cavemen always try to bring this strawman argument into the mix.  You're basically saying "it's my right to make bonehead decisions and kill myself and my crew, because those guys make mistakes too"

What a f**king joke that this is the hill you want to die on in order to prove how big your p*nis is.

Learn how to operate your equipment and maybe you can get your patient death rate as low as our flight related death rate...

If it's not the pilot's fault, who's fault is it?  Did the medcrew decide to fly into soup, then ignore the instruments and drive into the ground at 175mph?

Pretty sure it was the pilot who did that part.

Still I say that medics, nurses, Docotrs, etc. have a MUCH higher fatality rate because of mistakes in judgement

Let's apply this logic in reverse..

"well pilots on the whole make a lot of fatal mistakes, it's ok if I make fatal med errors"

That's exactly how  idiotic this whole "yeah but medical errors..." argument is

You were on to something until the last unnecessary snarky comment. What was the point of that? I've been on Facebook since 2010 and neither I nor any of my fellow friends who are HAA pilots ever post about being "rescue pilots." That there is a form of straw man arguing. Like blaming those dang millennials for the world's problems.

Exactly! Pretty sure if you went on my Facebook page you would never even know I was a HAA pilot. I generally don't go around announcing it.

do medical people really get on a helicopter forum and post stuff? or are these just pilots that dont like HAA acting like one. Do helicopter pilots get on medical forums and argue? Is there even such a forum?

The internet is amazing.
