However if you plan on flying part 135 the next you need 10 hours of uninterrupted rest. Flying, driving, swabbing toilets, it doesn't matter. If the company requires you to do it it's part of your part 135 duty time and you cannot take a part 135 duty period without 10 hours of rest. I understand that the garbage operator you flew for didn't care and you were too dumb to defend your rights, that doesn't mean it was legal.
