So a while back some of you were saying that a lot of mechanics have jumped ship and moved into other industries such as oil and gas, etc.

Well after 29 years I'm starting to think I'm done with aviation. Had some good times. Done a bit of everything 133, 141, 135, fixed wing, corporate, HAA. Didn't mind the field work, seems they're slowly coming around pay and schedule wise. HAA wasn't too bad but things can change pretty quick.

I've seen pilot pay, incentives and schedules just getting better and mechanics' pretty much stays the same. Chatted with a DOM from a big corporation recently who said it's getting harder and harder to find mechanics and really hard to find goood ones. Kind of feels like that old saying about two ships that pass in the night. To quote Mr Chow - "Not my problem!"

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions on where look to get the resume in front of folks who make those decisions and find contacts outside the industry?
