I don't agree that VRS ( settling with power) was a taught as an approved maneuver. I do think that before you take it out of the training curriculum you had better fully understand what you are playing with. You play around with it in a high power to weight ratio helicopter but if you get into it fully, more power makes the situation worse. There are 3 variables, the elimination of any one will get you out of VRS, hoping you have enough time and altitude to recover. Study Cavitation !!!! |
