Been doing this job quite a few years. VIP, Offshore, HAA, etc. There seems to be a stigma in the Corp world that they only hire those 2nd tier folks that either did their time doing turns around Lady Liberty or suffered a few seasons in the world of share ownership. The pay is pretty damn good, recently saw an advertisement 170k to 255k. The money has never been better and it seems even they are having issues retaining pilots. Question. Even though you find the vacancy advertised publicly, is there any point in applying unless you are in this inner circle? Is it some sort of secret society or are they really looking for the best pilot out there? Fire away. . |
