So there I was  

on a Mx flight in my 92 with my favorite copilot by my side.  We had a few mechanics from the hangar in the back and 2 avioincs guys cuz it was a slow day for them and they had nothing to do I guess.

They had a list of $#!t they needed us to do like an auto and compass swing down at KARA so we were climbing out to knock out that auto.

Don't know how we got on the convo of EGPWS and it's performance threshhold triggers, but me being the know it all pilot, got into a debate with this jackass avionics guy in the back on ICS who thought he knew it all.

Claimed he had just wired the entire system on a 76 and knew exactly how the system worked....even went with a test pilot from Flight Safety to dodge guy wires from towers out in the middle of cane fields just to function check all the many call outs.

Somehow we got to arguing about the "bank angle"  callout and he thought he knew best.  But I know what I know cuz I fly this thing every day.  He said a bunch of dumb stuff about Mode 6 and he had just programmed a config module and knew what parameters set the envelope off and flight regimes and Rad Alt this and blah blah blah that,  how it was not going to say anything up here because we were at altitude and I told him bs I hear that crap all the time.  So before he could argue another word...

I decided to show him that instant that he was wrong and grabbed the stick and threw us into a greater than 90degree roll to the right.  You should have seen everyone in the back $#!t themselves.  No one was expecting that.  Not even my loverboy copilot, I mean...uh nevermind.

Yeah, I scared the pis-s out of everyone.  But you know what?  That dude was right. I almost killed us all from over G'ing the bitch but I didn't hear any call out for bankangle.  He said it only armed like below 500ft agl or some crap like that.  I guess that's where I must have heard it come in when I was coming in on that hot approach like I was f'king Maverick from Top Gun that day, and other days.  That was back before this IRIS crap they put that keeps me in check now.  Gone are the days off hot doggin the aircraft and that tattle tale box. 

Man I sure hate avionics.
