Require your pilots to answer their phone after a short ten or eleven hour day. This works well because it gives you the option to lengthen their crew day while maintaining minimum crew rest requirements.

If you don't need them, you can still short turn them without violating the letter of the law. If you do need them, you can always rely on the five minute show to launch routine.
