there is no special tax table for a bonus check and there is no special place on the fm 1040 to list it. The withholding on a bonus less than 1,000,000 is a flat 22%, so the withholding on a bonus is going to be higher than on your regular wages. At the end of the year it is included with your other income and you pay what you pay based on your total income. If more was withheld than your final tax bill you get a refund...if the withholding is less than your actual tax for that year, you write a check.
