majority of HAA flights are not emergent or medically necessary. The oversaturation of the HAA industry has caused hospitals and EMS to be totally spoiled out of convenience. Hospitals want the 85 year-old with ingrown toe nails out of the ER yesterday and EMS outfits see HAA as an augment to not having to drive somewhere i.e. leave the county to a facility or more appropriate one. HAA outfits are like circling vultures. It is an "If we don't fly it, someone else will" mentality.
