I went through the following year, still had cotton flight suits (Chemically treated, not allowed to be starched), but our APH5 helmets were now OD green.  Our fatigues no longer had white name tapes with black letters now green with black letters.  The 'US Army' tape was no longer black with gold letters (Oddly the West Point color) and were now also green and black.  We were to keep the APH5 for the remainder of our Army flying career

Warrant Officer Candidates (WOC's) wore a rectangular tab on their left breast pocket.  Orange for the basic creatin grade WOC, Orange with a black vertical stripe in the middle for the more eminently qualified Intermediate Candidates.  Then a all black tab for senior Candidates, who rated a salute from Junior and Intermediate WOCs. This got the senior candidates used to returning salutes.

So much more trivia!
