From I heard, the STC for the transmission was registered to a business in California. They couldn't get a hold of the owner. They went to the FAA for abandoned STC to get the technical data, suddenly a guy from China showed up saying it wasn't abandoned. The guy is probably holding on to it for immigration purposes.
