arriving at my unit we flew non stop. After 28 days I had a word with the CO and asked if we were fighting ourselves. We got a day off, if possible, every week. Of course Cambodia and Laos disrupted that, but, at least we realized getting a respite from the tedium was possible. Loved the flying, proud of the people I worked with, hated war, really really badly. |
