Bell's typical response is "We have a newer more reliable platform we would loive to sell you."  Considering many frames are 50+, it bodes similar to those who used the Cobra for external ops.  You just don't have enough money to pay some engineer off at Bell and say these are as good as someothing off the shelf. 


 


Bell, imo, should roll out a bare bones UH-1/205.  VFR only no ALT Hold, no SAS,...  They have the jigs.
