The most difficult part of this job is realizing we are just like a taxi driver. If the customer does not want to ride don't go. I understand wanting to get the job (mission) done but times are changing. The best thing you can do is to create a flight debriefing form. It will be a pain in the ass, but it needs to be filled out after every flight, wx abort or flight decline. Each crewmember initials the form after you complete your notes and they can add to it if necessary. That way you cover your back and have a record for down the road if the base is under pressure with low flight volume.
