 did the job.  At one time or other almost if not all helicopter pilots in RVN stuck it out, way out, just as a matter of getting the job done but never got written up for recognition.  It was like that, and far as I know other than very very few lifers gave more than a Rats Ash about anything other than doing what was possible for the infantry guys as we were definitely their total life line.
