Not defending the low pay. But pilots should consider location, at some locales you can really stretch a dollar. Yes, many times there is a reason for that. However, many places, including some nice ones, 20 miles in one direction or another can mean thousands, paticularly in real estate. Some out of the way places are horrible meth meccas, but some are nice places to raise a family. In some places the cost of living is so high that no adjustment, COLA, ACCRA etc. will ever make up for it. Choose wisely, or don't. Just trying to help. |
