Position: Helicopter Pilot - International Flying Opportunity

Description: Imagine flying over some of the most gorgeous and challenging areas in the world -- but instead of just a brief joyride, your flights impact eternity!

As a supported* rotary wing pilot in Papua New Guinea you will be the lifeline for missionaries living in some of the most remote areas in the world!

Today, over 2000 people groups, 170 million people, still don’t have the Bible translated into their languages! Wycliffe USA believes the Word of God can transform lives when people hear it in their own language or form, and we urgently need you to join the team!

Job Location: Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea

Even though this job is located overseas, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States as per U.S. employment laws.

Every day is different! One day you might evaluate new airstrips and help in airstrip construction. Later you could fly a load of translated Bibles out to a remote village. Another day you would fly government officials or deliver school supplies to a translator’s child.

This job might be for you if…
You have earned a commercial pilot’s license.
You’re flexible and enjoy getting to know people.
You have at least 500 hours of flight time.
You’re willing to learn a new language.
You have a Class II FAA Medical or equivalent.
You understand the joys and challenges of cross-cultural life.
You have your Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificates, although some exceptions are made with special considerations.

Supported staff (missionaries) with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA are members of a faith-based organization. If you become a member, you will receive extensive training and helpful tools to raise a team of prayer and financial partners in ministry; the gifts given to the preference of your ministry account provide for your salary, benefits and ministry-related expenses.
