America   

   is far closer to full socialism than you think.  Just look at entitlements if you don't think so.

Right now the government has been flooding the markets with dollars to create vast inertia to defeat China's quest to have the Ramimbi (Sp?) the world's reserve currency but other consequences are completely unknown.  

It's all a shot in the dark these days.
