Yup, I started pushing out my NVGs so I can put my clear visor down to help in bird strike situation (probably won't work, but worth a shot; EMS night landings are done so slowly there is no less safety in having NVGs close or far to your eyeballs):

There are plenty more, but those are from a quick google search. 


By all means, catastrophic bird strikes are rare, but they do happen (and DO happen at night nowadays with messed up migratory bird patterns compared to 20 years ago when only owls and bats flew at night!).
