Fifteen years an HAA pilot, I've liked most of my med crews, and disliked some on the ground but up in the air they're my peeps and I'll take care of them.
The last program I flew patients for, the Chief Flight Nurse was a total pain in the butt - on the ground.  In the air he was good at his job and cleared traffic just like someone who didn't hate my guts.  
I'm glad you like them.  Just remember, if you want a long career in HAA: just because they're friendly does not mean they're your friends.
