When it's published, the AD will likely make official the Bell ASB on the subject, requiring the replacement of main rotor TT strap pins with "FNFS" in the part number.  This means that an operator might need *four* pins per aircraft.  I wonder how quickly Bell can get non-"FNFS" pins to customers.


The ASB doesn't, and the AD probably won't address the UH-1's out there.  We wonder if any of them have the same "FNFS" TT strap pins installed and what operators of those aircraft will have to do?


Lots of grounded Huey's out there right now.
