"There is a good reason for sumping fuel -- its a great practice to make sure your fuel isnt cantimated. Seen a few times over the years!" Amen! I will also ask that an unfamiliar source sump before I accept fuel. Yeah, I've only had a couple bad fuel samples from them over my 5 decade acreer, but one contaminated refueling might be enough to: A, put me in the dirt; and B, muck up fuel metering system. I don't need maintenance to remind how stupid lazy it is not even make the minimal effort.... |
