I am not a huge fan of the MEL process...... too many times maintenance will be contacted and say ok MEL it and go back in service... with out even looking at what is wrong. The MEL does have a place if used correctly. but more often than not it allows maintenance to wait until the last day of the MEL to expire before even looking at something and realizing it was a quick fix. |
