Yes, I have flow EMS IFR and the only thing we really used IFR for was to go from VFR to IFR to recover at our airport or depart IFR to VFR. Never IFR both ways because of the fuel requirements would drastically reduce our payload. Most of the time the customer would say never mind. If you have ever flown a EC-135T1. You would know what I’m talking about. |
