More and more RW pilots are being hired by the airlines. For anyone 45 (or even 50) and younger, skip the helicopter jobs and go straight to the airlines. Upgrades are faster, and even first year captains at most regionals make more than most helicopter pilots. Even if you stayed at a regional - for seniority and more control over your schedule and quality of life - you'll still make more than the average helicopter pilot. We are already seeing shortages in finding and keeping qualified helicopter pilots in helicopter jobs. |
