Did my 25 years LEO and retired with a good pension. You know, back when men were men, women wore skirts (as did J. Edgar....), and when the cops were called, fit reasonably intelligent, honest men responded. Now "first responders" are frequently out of shape, or downright obese wannabe mall cops, hired for their "diversity". They are drunk on power, even a small town 3 man department has a friggin "SWAT" team. We called them the SayWhat team back in the day. By the time they arrived, set up a command post, called in the "negotiator" and developed a plan; the bad guy(s) had died from hunger, self inflicted wounds, or fell asleep! |
