AMC has a weight policy that applies to new hires since 2016-ish however, I don't think it gets in the way of hiring people with the right skills. We have plenty of pilots over the limit, the problem occurs when all 3 crew are heavy and the machine has a lower-ish gross weight...and you have to land at a high LZ. There are a few places where this has been an issue so I'm sure those locations would be more apt to stick to weight policy. In the flat lands with a nice dual motor machine...no worries.

this is my opinion and does NOT reflect AMC's view and/or policy; just my subjective observation.
